Read more…

Read more…

Read more…

ESSAY

David Geers (An art critic) “Passion in Monochrome,” 2017

「THE EUGENE Studioの《White Painting》シリーズは […]
《White Painting》

A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE ↗︎

The Steidz (フランス) writes:

—The Japan Times weekly edition (print) / The New York Times International Weekly Edition (print), 2025 writes: “… At 32, he was the youngest artist ever to hold a solo exhibition at the museum. Exploring the possibilities of coexistence—between humanity and nature, the tangible and the imagined—the exhibition established Kangawa as a voice of piercing lucidity in a fragmented era.”

Excerpt — Taiyo

“... A ‘sea’ appears in the atrium, which extends from the museum’s second basement level to the ground floor. The surrounding walls are lined with mirrors, and as visitors follow them, their reflections multiply endlessly alongside the rippling, shifting surface of the water. Inspired by the fact that the museum stands on land below sea level, the work evokes the sea as a source of both life and death, fertility and threat. Admitting natural light and changing in appearance with the passage of time, this large-scale installation is striking in both its scale and beauty.”
