[Preview] First major exhibition by a Heisei-born artist - “EUGENE STUDIO After the rainbow”, opening in November at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

"EUGENE STUDIO is a studio based in Japan by Eugene Kangawa ( born 1989, America). He has shown his work in solo exhibitions such as 'THE EUGENE Studio 1/2 Century later' (2017) at the Shiseido Gallery and 'de-sport' (2020), a group exhibition at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, where he explored the question of what our existence is dependent on. The works presented at the exhibition include a number of pieces that make the viewer think about what is the best way to understand the world in which we live. They have been highly acclaimed. This exhibition, which includes both representative works and the latest unpublished works, not only offers an opportunity to admire his work, but also insight into the ideas and philosophies that underlie his activities. This is the first solo exhibition by a Heisei-born artist at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo. It is an opportunity to get an early glimpse of a young contemporary artist whose international reputation is on the rise."
