“At the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, where artists such as Yoko Ono and Yayoi Kusama have held solo exhibitions in the past, EUGENE STUDIO/Eugene Kangawa became the youngest artist ever to hold a solo exhibition. This was the first solo exhibition of a Heisei-born artist at the museum.

Goldrain (top photo) was a record-breaking success, with visitors waiting up to an hour to see the work. The continuous flow of gold particles falling silently down from the floor, constantly changing their movement with the flow of air, is beautiful and stimulates the imagination.”
