About Tokyo Gendai
Tokyo Gendai is the first international contemporary art fair to open in the Tokyo area in 30 years. The art fair offers 74 internationally acclaimed galleries from all over the world.
In addition to the exhibition of selected works, the fair establishes a platform for the expansion of cultural and inspirational exchange through a full line-up of talk programmes and events.
Through the fair, we will also offer a rich art experience that can only be experienced in Tokyo, thanks to the long-established Japanese gallery scene and our collaboration with various museums and foundations.
The first edition of Tokyo Gendai will take place from 7-9 July 2023 (VIP preview 6 July) at Pacifico Yokohama.
