Excerpt from the article
It has been announced that Eugene Kangawa / Eugene Studio will open a permanent museum in 2026 in southern Bali, surrounded by forest and sea. The permanent exhibition will include paintings and installations of Eugene’s representative works, such as the “Sea Garden” series, “Goldrain,” and “Light and shadow inside me,” as well as new works integrated into the architecture. “We need both a philosophy and a real place. If one of the visitors has the opportunity to reflect on something, I hope it may lead to a change in the world,” said Eugene. This is a magnificent project that embodies and updates the concepts of “symbiosis” and “a new ocean,” which form the roots of Eugene’s creations. It will be a new sanctuary where visitors can experience contemporary art in a spiritual place embraced by Mother Nature.
