“From November 21 to December 24, an exhibition of THE EUGENE Studio, that exploring the possibilities of art and technology, will be on display at The Shiseido Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo.

The title "1/2 Century later." has a lot of weight for those who focus on the present time axis and perform art activities in parallel with technology, science, society and the times. The meaning of the title "Half a century from then” is a clear expression of the work "Beyond good and evil, make way toward the wasteland." that is proudly displayed in the middle of the gallery. In 1968, just half a century ago of 2018 when the exhibition ends, Stanley Kubrick's movie "2001: A Space Odyssey” was screened. Inspired by the impressive white room that appears in the movie, this work is reminiscent of its contemporary form, as well as its future, half a century later.
