A sculpture of micro particles
“Goldrain” is a sculptural work that showers 0.1mm micro golden particles from the sky. This artwork had been envisaged from 2018, exploring the theme of “creation of the earth”. These fragments are sensitive enough to be finely affected by imperceptible movements. However, once they accumulate, these microscopic grains cover the water surface like the earth.
How the particles pour renders compelling images as if it materializes a computational simulation from the virtual world ― the particles fall like a CG. Whereas, the golden basin waves like mercury.
During Haute Couture Paris Collection, this artwork was showcased in the one of the venues: in middle of the building of Paris University V.
